A Mima video of their Trapo installation

One of our customers is Mima Films – part of the Signode Industrial Group – and supplier of stretch film on rolls. Mima recently posted a nice video on LinkedIn of the installation that we were allowed to develop for them. The installation includes checking the film rolls: is the film neatly cut and is it tightly wrapped around the tube? The tube itself and the dimensions and weight of the rolls are also checked. The inside of the tube of each roll is provided with a barcode or 2D code and then conveyed to the robot palletiser. The robot is equipped with a gripper with a mandrel. This allows the robot to pick up the film rolls, which are horizontal on the conveyor, and place them vertically on the pallet.
