Our method of working

Safety at work top priority

With us, safety – in the broadest sense of the word – has priority. Our goal is to make and keep the (direct) environment of our installation(s) as safe as possible; from delivery and assembly of the installation up to and including daily use at your location. As a company we are safety-certified, and all our technicians are individually safety-certified.

All our installations comply with the Machinery Directive. You will receive documentation and a declaration of incorporation (IIB) or an EC Declaration of Conformity (IIA) with your installation, depending on the installation.

Project phasing

The image below shows the phases of our projects. For more information about a phase:

  • Hover your mouse over the phase, or
  • Tap the phase on your touchscreen.

In our first meeting, you tell us about your wishes and project requirements. Based on your input, we create a non-binding concept consisting of a principle drawing and a cost framework. If you agree with the concept and decide to work with Trapo, you will receive a plan. We will start engineering your project. Upon receipt of your agreement to the drawings we drew up in phase 2, we start with the production of the mechanical components. In this phase of your project, we start with the detailed engineering of the electrical installation. Building the main control cabinet – including among others the PLC and motor groups – runs parallel with the production of the mechanical components. Our programmers develop the software with which you will be able to operate your system. Creation of screens (visualisation for operation) is a part of this. In this phase – if applicable – we will also start programming the SCADA-software. For a test in our production area, we build up critical parts of your installation and then invite you for a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). If you agree, we will proceed to delivery. We deliver and assemble the installation at your location. We will then put it into operation together with you. This is followed by a Site Acceptance Test (SAT). Your staff will receive training/instruction to work safely with the installation. Your installation will be designed for sustainable use. Periodic maintenance and fast, adequate servicing will contribute to this. Concluding a maintenance contract with us is an additional option. Our field service is there for you!
